Čedok’s revenues amount to 3.797 billion
Prague (June 19, 2009) – The General Meeting of shareholders of the Čedok a.s. agency
approved the economic results of the company for 2008 at its session held on June
19, 2009.
The total sales and revenues in 2008 increased 16.4% and reached CZK 3.797 billion and the profits before
tax equaled CZK 56.469 million. Compared to 2007, Čedok increased its sales and
revenues by CZK 535 million. The company’s profits grew by more than CZK 21 million
compared to 2007. The travel agency thus operated with a profit for the ninth year
running.
In 2008, Čedok used its own resources to invest CZK 31 million in further development
of the company. It expanded (two new branches were opened last year) and restructured
its network of branches, which now consists of a total of 48 branches. A branch
with Čedok’s 100% property interest was established in Turkey - Istanbul under the
name of Ahoy Turizm during the second half of the last year. Investments in the
development of the company’s information system continued, with emphasis on internet
sales.
