Position: Chief Information & Technology Officer (The “CITO”)
Job Description: The CITO’s role will be to work with the company’s and Odien portfolio
companies’ top management (the “Organization”) in developing and aligning IT objectives
and internet marketing & sales strategies with the organization’s vision, objectives
and strategic initiatives. The CITO will be responsible and accountable for the
implementation of the strategy in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality,
and business development including internet marketing & sales activities of the
organization, including technology start-ups. The CITO will be responsible for all
of the organization’s information technology and systems.
Responsibilities: The CITO will have the following responsibilities
- Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organization as a member of the senior management team.
- Lead IT strategic and operational planning and implementation to achieve business goals for the organization by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
- Work effectively & real-time with the organization’s on-line marketing & sales initiatives.
- Optimize use of database management systems for information for marketing and for direct marketing & sales.
- Ensure organization’s data, information, and payment security.
- Define IT related metrics and “actionable” information based on overall business objectives and monitor and report on the metrics on an on-going basis.
- Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development and outsourcing to external service providers.
- Establish lines of control for current and proposed information systems and align IT risk management within IT productivity objectives and risks.
- Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
Qualifications: The CITO should have the following experience and skills
- Fluency in English and Czech with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- University degree in the field of computer science or business administration and 5 years experience managing and/or directing an IT operation.
- Experience in strategic planning, budget development, and execution and proven understanding of the use of technology to achieve business objectives; including experience with on-line based businesses.
- Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems, including email, data, off site retention.
- Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
- Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development.
- Excellent understanding of project management principles and ability to deploy resources and take action quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed and ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly way.
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
