AVIA (2004)
AVIA, a.s. is an Odien Group company based in Prague. AVIA is engaged in real estate
development and managing the company’s real estate and energy assets on its 65 hectare
site in Prague 9. AVIA was founded originally as an aircraft and engine manufacturer
in 1919 and was later re-oriented to truck production. Odien acquired AVIA from
Daewoo Motor Coporation, Ltd. in December 2004. Following Odien’s successful revitalization
of the company through an aggressive investment and restructuring program in 2005
and 2006 AVIA sold its Truck Business Unit to Ashok Leyland, Ltd. of India in October
2006, its press shop in March 2007 to Grupo Estampaciones Sabadell s.l., a Spanish
